As the month of sawan approaches today, India is already looking colourful and divine. We all feel a shift in energy that the divine month brings. Sawan month is dedicated to Lord Shiva who represents a powerful male personality, who is disciplined, powerful meditator, master of cosmic energy , a divine creator, producer and destroyer. He is not just a saint whos aura speakes on this earth through Himalayas, Ganga, Moon, serpents, living energies. He is a powerful lover, husband and a father. He is the alpha male, a perfect combination of male and female body, by respecting and acknowledging the power of his wife and stepping behind her to let her lead in her life. He is known ardhnarishwar, a balance of Shiva(male energy) and Shakti (feminine energy), also known as Yin and Yang.
Lord Shiva is not just a god who carries particular symbols and lives on Himalayas. He is beyond that. Imagine a male who is carrying lot of strength and spiritual alignment within himself, how would you see him. A parmeshwar, who protects, guides, provides, treats his partner equally and let her embrace her power and feminine beauty, stays disciplined andfocused, who has mastered the cosmic energies and still has zero ego. We call him alpha male in todays language. A male that every women desires to have.
Lets decode in this blog: What each symbol stands for that Lord Shiva carries
So Imagine Shiva from top to toe:
Here You can imagine Shiva in your body itself… remember: Ahem Brahmasmi
So imagine yourself as a part of god.
What do you see:
1: Long hairs tied on the top in half and half open: Hair represents beauty, freedom and strength. But everything is undercontrol, half tied up and half open. That’s why it is said that when Shiva does Tandav, his hairs are all open. So Shiva knows the balance for beauty, freedom and strenghth and let them flow to sweep away old patterns during tandav.
Half moon: Moon represents human emotions, mental wellbeing and connection with your innerself. Shiva keeps it on his crown to control the any urge that can appear dues to moon energy´s imbalance and has mastered the cosmic flow through his Crown Chakra.
Ganga: Ganga or water represents flow in life, purity, divinity, fertility and grace. Ganga flowing from shiva´s crown stands for respect and safety every woman desires from men around the world to grow gracefully and with purity. You can also take it as a symbol of let your water energy flow to achieve growth by not staying stuck in your crown which creates emotional blockages, sadness and flood of unwanted ideas. Moon attracts water but here Shiva has mastered this art of controlling his moon energy, which is his mind and heart and the Ganga which is flowing in every direction opposite to the moon to create abundance, not blockage. So Shiva is man who has balanced his mind and emotions.
Third Eye: Third eye, a point which makes aa human intuitive. Third eye activation is the key to connect with your inner self. Third eye is wisdom, intuition, spirituality, calmness. Third eye is a power to see deep through the words you hear. Third eye is the energy that transforms your ability embrace your soul, brings your desires and needs in alingnment. Also Third eye is the power where you can not just sense but see the energy outside. Shiva who is the father of meditation, uses his third eye not just to connect with his world but also to destroy what no longer serves the perpose to create something meaningful. So Shiva is a man who knows how to move on and how to detach and destroy old patterns by destroying anything that is toxic.
Snake around his neck: Shiva is unbothered from the poison that a snake has. Rather he let him around his neck which shows his control over fear of death and threat. And that’s how the snake became the symbol of strength, bravery and the eternal life.
Trishul: The tree points of trishul or known as Srishti, sthiti and Samghara. So Shiva uses all three qualities in his weapon. Also it stands for conquering the three gunas : Tamas, Rajas and Sattva.
So Shiva has the ability to create, destroy and produce but still he uses them in a balanced way and do not let one of them overpower him.
Rudraksha Garlands: Rudraksha is a symbol of protection , devotion and concentration. Rudraksha gives protection against evil energies and stands for spiritual development. Rudraksha is one of the most powerful sourses of energies.
Damru: Damru creates a cosmic sound. Om is the the most powerful cosmic sound which also came from damru and this sound is used in Matras which makes their vibrations more powerful.
Tigers Skin: Lord Shiva sits on Tiger´s skin. Tiger stands for passion, rage, power and desire to control. By sitting on the top of it Shiva takes control over these desires and bring a balance through his root Chakra, where all such materialistiv´c desires live.
Shiva is a man who is worshiped by Humans, ghosts, animals, Eunuchs. Shiva is the man who takes charge of this Srishti by accepting every thing that is natural or supernatural. Shiva represents a yogic state for the new generation where he teaches you to stay detached even by loving everyone around you. He is a family man, who teaches you to have a family. Being yogi does not mean that you cannot have a partner or you cannot have physical desire but don’t be slave of these feelings because sex is a powerful act of energy exchange between two people so act mindfully as it diplicates your Aura.
Shiva is a man who loved Sati with his whole heart, and accepts parvati´s love as he knows the power of moving on and finding a partner who completes him. He respectes Parvati by letting her be herself because he is a man with no male ego. He treats his partner as a part of him. And together they became Shiva and Shakti, compleating each other. He let his partner take charge in circumstances where she projects all her Shakti swaroops such as Durga, Kaali.
Shiva who accepts every prohibited thing in his different swaroops but he stays in detoxicatedstate because he knows the power of subconscious mind. Here is a message for devotees who smoke weed or take drugs to achieve a divine state; Shiva is power who holds poison in his throat to save the worls but doesn´t let in flow in his vains. He is a man who knows how much of anything is good. Shivas power lies in his subconscious mind. So if you want to achieve that transcendental state, control your innerself, do not give this power to any other thing. He projects state of meditation, not intoxication and that’s the big hit.
I wish you all a very happy sawan. I would suggest to use this month to connect with your innerself as much as you can. Enhance the Shiva and Shakti within you. Lots of love.
