Full Moon in Gemini: The Cold Moon

What is special about this full moon?
This full moon brings endings, transformations, and a chance to reflect. It helps you break out of old patterns and release what no longer serves you, so you can begin the next year with a fresh mind.

This is a super full moon, and it will be at its highest point, opposite the Sun. Full moons always influence our emotional tides, so be mindful of mood swings—especially since Mercury retrograde is also happening.

This moon is called the Cold Moon because of the frozen weather. Nature enters a state of hibernation, preparing to bloom and bounce back in the next season. Since we are also part of nature, this moon encourages us to pause and rest. It asks you to quiet your thoughts and overthinking, so you can return feeling renewed, slowly yet beautifully, in the new season. What hasn’t served you throughout the year will not serve you in the future—so release it and rest.

This full moon encourages you to go low-key for a while. Use this time as a reset button to understand yourself better. Since the moon is in Gemini, it can bring balance to your overall energy if you use its potential wisely.

Spiritual activities you can do

1. Declutter your space.
Gemini energy is all about balance. As an air sign, it invites fresh energy to flow. Get rid of old clothes, makeup, stationery, or papers. If possible, move your furniture or rearrange your space to release stuck energy.

2. Use a bell or singing bowl to uplift your space.
You can also visit a nearby temple. When you enter, ring the bell and stand under it for a moment so the sound can cleanse your aura.

3. Take a milk bath as a spiritual bath.

4. In the evening, light a diya and meditate under the moonlight while chanting the Green Tara Mantra.
If it’s too cold outside, do this indoors with no artificial lights—only the diya should be your light source.

5. Prepare moon water.
Place a glass bottle where the moonlight reaches it and set your intention to charge the water.

6. The most important step:
After meditation, write down three things that kept you stuck in 2025. These can be limiting beliefs, a relationship, financial struggles, a job—anything you found difficult to move on from.
Write them down, cross them out, and say: “I let go of this situation/relationship/person/experience.”
Speak positive affirmations, then burn the paper using the same diya. Release the ashes out of your window and say:
“I release this feeling into nature, where it harms neither me nor anyone else. I am free of this thought, and I am taking my time to bloom.”

7. Make yourself a herbal tea with saunf and honey. Sip it slowly and go to sleep. Keep the diya safely lit in your room as long as possible.

8. Don’t forget to charge your crystals and bring the moon water inside before sunrise.

For the next 15 days, pause. Do not rush.
If you feel overthinking or restlessness, practice deep breathing and journaling. Spend some time in fresh air every morning or evening.

Let the Creator work His magic in your upcoming year.
Wishing you lots of positivity.

Love
