Fire Element in Human Body: What does it do, how does it work and how to balance it

As we all know that the human body is made of five elements and each element plays an important role in developing one’s overall personality. Fire element is the most powerful element to attract and achieve your goals, desires, and to stay motivated. In today’s blog, I am going to talk about the Fire element with all my knowledge and experience.

1: What is fire element?

Fire, we all know what it looks like, right… Orange in colour, burns whatever comes in its contact. If it is under control, then balances the cycle of nature. But at the same time, if the fire is not handled carefully, it can cause severe damage and destruction.
This is how we know the nature of fire. But how does it look like or feel like in human energy?
In the human body, it represents your Solar Plexus Chakra. In simple language, it’s your gut. It gives you courage, willpower, it makes you determined and gives the capacity to hold onto your desires. It is your fame, your leadership quality, and your digestive system. Fire energy is your confidence, ability to take action, self-esteem, fear, bravery, and your temperament.

2: How to know if Fire element is imbalanced?

There are many ways to know if your Fire energy is not balanced. The first and natural sign you will get is from your digestive system. If you face digestion-related issues, then you should know that your Fire energy needs work. You might face low self-worth, low confidence, the urge to control everything, and fear of failure if the Fire element in your body is not in balance.

3: Practices to enhance or balance the Fire element.

Let´s understand how we can balance or embrace the fire element in our body to get the best of it. If you practice Sanatana Dharma; you must have performed Hawan once in your life. People participate in Hawan to burn their ego, fear, worries, and unwanted energies in the holy fire. Our palms or hands are the powerful sources of energy exchange. So when we perform Hawan, offerings are given such as samagri, grains, honey, etc. So when we offer something with our right hand, we release our good and bad energy into the holy fire. When someone sits with the spine straight, stays present, and feels the vibration of Mantras chanted during the ritual, feels the warmth of fire, and looks at the fire while staying in the moment, it develops the balance of the fire element in the human body.

That’s why in Indian households people still perform Hawan with simple chants like Om and Gayatri Mantra to purify inner and outer energies. Each time after the offering, one chants Swahaa, and the last sound of “haa” comes out vibrating from the Solar Plexus Chakra or through the gut.
Other Practices:

But if you are not someone who follows Sanatana or you are someone who wants to explore other practices, I would recommend starting with basic practice and that is to see the sunrise. If you soak yourself for 10 or 15 minutes every day in rising sun rays, you will start feeling a sudden shift in your energies in a few days. Even sunset is also a very effective time but the freshest and most comforting energy is the rising Sun. Go for a walk or just stand on your balcony and feel the energy.
Tratak practice is another effective method. If you meditate lighting a candle or preferably Diya (Lamp), it can help you to balance the fire energy and heal the Solar Plexus. It works on the third Eye Chakra as well. All you have to do is concentrate on the fire of the candle or diya as long as you can easily. You do not need to force yourself. It is known as Tratak kriya.

If you enjoy bonfire nights, do it. Stand close to the fire. Feel the pure and powerful warm energy blessing you, which is a great practice. Better if you are not burning plastic or roasting meat in the same fire. You can say the affirmation “I am pure and my aura is filled with pure warmth and the holy fire has cleansed any unwanted and stuck energy from my body. I am grateful, I am thankful.”

Crystals: a natural amplifier
Crystals are also highly effective and a powerhouse to improve all five elements in the human body and balance energies. Carnelian, citrine, sunstone, tiger eye, and yellow calcite are some of the best crystals to bring into your life as beginners. Charge these crystals, cleanse them from time to time, and affirm them with good intentions to experience the magic.

Foods:
Food also plays an important role here, lemon, papaya, cardamom, pumpkin, chickpea flour, and jaggery can help you.

Oils:
Cedar, juniper, and lemon essential oils help to soothe your senses and improve the energies.

Connect yourself with alternatives:
Using a warm light lamp while working or keeping a nice candle nearby your work desk or anywhere in the room where you spend most of your time working also helps.

4: Benefits from balancing the fire element in the body:

Once you start working on balancing the fire element in your body or Solar Plexus Chakra, in a few days you might start experiencing better digestion, blood purification, and improved willpower. Your relationship with your father or father figures in life will become better than ever. The state of confusion will reduce and your gut feeling will guide you most of the time. The person stays more active at work and during the day and the urge of sleeping during day hours will reduce. You will feel more present, fearless, and you will attract fame and respect. It helps you to overcome the fear of losing control and the desire of keeping everything under control, as both of these feelings will not serve you well. Anger management will happen automatically.

It’s important to keep in mind that balance in energies is very important here as all our seven chakras have to be aligned in order to lead a healthy and fulfilled life.
